Privacy Policy and Information on Data Subject Rights

We collect and process personal data exclusively within the framework of the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).

Below, we provide information about the type, scope, and purposes of the collection and processing of your personal data, as well as your rights in this context.

I. Data Transmission and Logging for System-Internal and Statistical Purposes

When you access our website, your internet browser automatically transmits data to our web server for technical reasons. This data includes the date and time of access, the URL of the referring website, the files retrieved, the amount of data transferred, the type and version of the browser, the operating system, and your IP address.

This data is stored separately from other data you provide when using our services. We cannot associate this data with any specific person, and we do not use cookies or similar means. This data is analyzed solely for statistical purposes and is subsequently deleted.

II. Collection and Storage of Personal Data

When entering into, forming, or amending a contractual relationship with us (consultation and/or legal representation), or in the case of a court-appointed defense, we collect and process personal data that is indispensable for the proper handling of your case.

Your personal data will be stored for as long as required by professional and tax retention obligations. After these periods expire, your data will be deleted.

III. Data Disclosure to Third Parties

As part of legal representation, we may necessarily share your personal data with opposing parties, courts, authorities, legal expenses insurers, and other entities to ensure the proper handling of your case, particularly the assertion of your rights or the defense against counterclaims.

Otherwise, the confidentiality of attorney-client privilege applies. We do not share your personal data with third parties unless there is a legal obligation to do so in exceptional cases.

IV. Rights of Data Subjects

According to Article 15 GDPR, data subjects have the right to request free information about the data stored about them. Under Article 20 GDPR, you can also request this information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and/or request the transmission of this information to a third party or entity designated by you.

Additionally, you may:

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data stored by us, under Article 16 GDPR.

  • Request restriction of data processing under Article 18 GDPR, if:
    • You dispute the accuracy of your data.
    • The processing is unlawful, but you oppose deletion.
    • We no longer need the data, but you require it for legal purposes.
    • You have objected to processing under Article 21 GDPR.

You may also:

  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your place of residence, workplace, or the location of the alleged violation under Article 77 GDPR, if you believe the processing of your personal data by us violates the GDPR.
